The characters in a novel make the story come to life. Think of the main characters in the novel, There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom. Bradley and Jeff are important to the story. Their personality traits affect the main events in the story.
Your job today is to choose one character.

2. What is your opinion of that character? Use specifics from the book to explain why you feel this way.
The character I choose is Bradley.
ReplyDeleteBradley is mean and nasty because he yelled at his mom because he said "She promised to take me to the zoo!" On page 3 which is a lie to not have his mom go to the conference. I don't like him much because he lies and says all that and is really mean to his classmates. In the book he is mean to his classmates by terrorizing them and picking fights with them. His phrase in the book is "give me a dollar or I will spit on you!".
I'm choosing Melinda because she seems like a very tough girl.Melinda is always beating up one of the boys like she beat up Bradley and Jeff.I was very surprised when she beat up Bradley because Bradley WAS one of the toughest boys in school.My eyes were wide opened ,my arms were busy writing on a post-it and my mouth was opened like a sharks!I could barley believe that a girl like Melinda would beat up the boys like Bradley and Jeff I kinda felt bad when the boys got beat up by Melinda because they were embarrassed they got beat up by a girl.
ReplyDeleteThe character that I chose is Jeff. Jeff was really nice at first until Bradley Chalkers got beat up buy 3 girls Melinda,Lori,and Coleen. But everybody thought Jeff did it. Then Jeff became a jerk. An example is "Qiut bothering me!" said Jeff, and "Quit saying hello to me." I think that Jeff is a real big jerk. Jeff is in a little gang and Jeff thinks he is all cool and every thing. The reason I think that Jeff thinks he is cool and everything is because he told the counselor he doesn't need to see her any more because he has 8 friends and they will help him and not her.

ReplyDeleteI think that bradly is starting to like carle and start being nicer.I wonder jeff got in such a big fight with the girls.I think it is because he starting to be more like bradly.In the end i thinkone of the girls is going to like bradly but not jeff.
ReplyDeleteBradley's personality is mean and bulley like in the beginning. He told a new kid at school to give him a dollar or he would spit on him. Bradley sees the counselor and begins to be nicer to Carla. I think Bradley is mean spirited but he is starting to become nicer. He may just want attention and knows he can get it if he acts mean.
ReplyDeleteAt the first starting of the book, Jeff was really nice. But then, he became a mean kid throughout the book. Jeff's like a black hole. He takes in the meanness and releases the kindness.
ReplyDeleteThe character I'm choosing is Bradley Chalkers. Bradley is the type of kid that has bad behavior. He likes to get into arguments and he hates everyone. He gets into a lot of fights with boys and girls. My opinion is that Bradley is a very bad kid in the beginning of the book. He does things like scribble all over his desk and cut up his papers,too.
ReplyDeleteBradley's sister is very mean and does not help Bradley in anything that he does. She just tells him the bad things about his paper just to make him sad. Bradley's sister also makes him doubt himself by her telling him that his paper is bad, no one will like it,and people will hate you. She is devious and unpleasant.

Ever since Bradly was beat up he became nicer and had feelings because when he was a bully he was really mean and had no feelings but now he dose because now he knows how it feels to be beaten up and be bullied.
ReplyDeleteJeff is a new student at school. He used to be a nice friend, until now. Now he is a snotty bully like Bradley used to be. In the beginning when he was nice he didn't bully the girls and always wanted to do his home work. Now he wants to bully girls and not do his homework. He thinks that being a bully, lying and being mean is the answer. When he tried to pick a fight with the girls, they punched him in the belly and pinned him to the ground.
ReplyDeleteJeff is a new kid at school. He is made fun of because his last name is Fishkin. He makes friends with a kid named Bradley. From the kids’ opinion at school, Bradley is the most rotten kid in the school. One time while Jeff and Bradley were sitting together at lunch and Bradley had to go to the bathroom. While Bradley was in the bathroom, the kids that teased Jeff came up to him and asked him if they wanted to be their friend because the thought Jeff gave Bradley a black eye .I felt bad for Bradley when I read that Jeff turned Bradley down and I wondered why such a nice and patient person would do such a mean thing like that .I think Jeff’s eight will turn him down when they find out that Jeff got beaten up by a girl .I also think that after Jeff will get turned down that he will try to be friends with Bradley again but Bradley won’t want to be his friend because Jeff turned his back on him .I think Jeff’s good personality is being overtaken by all the horribleness inside of him. I feel bad for Jeff because all the popularity inside him is taking over his actions. I think soon Jeff won’t be popular or have any friends and will be deeply depressed. I think Jeff might be able to turn his act around and have a better quality friend that is nicer.
